Inspired by "Easy Slow Cooker Apple Butter" on Blue Zones.
- 5 pounds apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
- 1/2 cup apple cider
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
1. Put all ingredients into a slow cooker.
2. Cook on high for 2 hours.
3. Reduce heat to low and continue cooking for 6-8 hours, or until apples mash easily.
4. Let cool and then store in airtight containers in the refrigerator.
